Hotels/Motels

One of the first things you need to do as a new University of Virginia Law School student is find a place to live. Due to the large number of students in this town, attractive, affordable housing is at a premium. You cannot start looking too early. (See Housing.) But where do you stay while you are looking for your dream pad? Here is a list of hotels and motels where you can stay while you search. The first list includes accommodations within three miles of the Law School. Keep in mind that certain weekends have popular events, such as football or basketball games, or the Virginia Film Festival, when all the hotels in town will be full and/or priced higher than normal. Tourists fill local accommodations in the summer. Call ahead for reservations. The key below will give you an idea of prices. These figures are approximate and are subject to change throughout the year.
