The Albemarle County Adult Education ESOL
Program offers general English classes with year-round registration
for beginner- to advanced-level students. Classes are
held every Monday and Wednesday evening at Albemarle High
School from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The program also offers beginner-,
intermediate- and advanced-level communication skills daytime
classes and T.O.E.F.L. preparation classes. The ESOL Program
has also received recognition for "The Web Project." This
is an ongoing student project that accepts applicants from
advanced-level ESOL students to work on an interactive course
developing web-page content and DVD resources for the ESOL
community in the Charlottesville area. For more information

Open Doors, offers a variety of classes, including art (painting,
stained class, woodworking, photography, etc.), music, cooking,
computers, yoga, belly dancing, golf, gardening, sign language,

BRESL is a volunteer-based, non-profit
organization serving the ESL community in Greater Charlottesville.
Trained tutors provide free English tutoring services and
teach cultural adaptation skills to ESL adults.
