Virginia Law is tied for third in the number of graduates hired this year to teach law, according to the Leiter Report, with 50 percent of those seeking such positions obtaining them (a rate that places them second among law schools). More
Supporting Alumni and Building Networks
• As members of the Law Career Network, more than 1,300 alumni have volunteered to help graduates find jobs.
• Virginia is third among national law schools in the number of law firm chairpersons and managing partners, according to a 2004 survey of 850 U.S. law firms.
• A National Law Journal survey of 150 national law firms' recent hiring decisions found that Virginia graduates were the second-most-favored group, with 97 of the surveyed firms hiring Virginia students.
