Last year's Annual Giving Campaign broke prior records for number of donors (8,706) and alumni participation rate (53.76%). When Dean John Jeffries and the Law School Foundation leadership spoke some years back about aiming for a 50% participation rate, any non-Virginia observer would have been skeptical—only a handful of educational institutions, and none of our peer law schools, have ever reached a participation rate that high. But we have now exceeded it for six consecutive years.
The affection, engagement, and generosity of Virginia alumni are the envy of the rest of American legal education. They sustain and nourish a uniquely affirmative and collegial culture. The Law School's students, faculty, and staff are constantly aware of our good fortune in being part of this wonderful community and profoundly grateful to our alumni and friends for making it possible.
