Annual Giving Results, 2007-2008
A record-setting number of alumni made a gift to the Law School last year. At the conclusion of the 2007-2008 Annual Giving Campaign, 8,000, or 52.7 percent, provided $10.9 million, including more than $4.5 million in unrestricted funds. The number of alumni participating was the highest in the Law School's history.
In 2006-2007, more than $13 million of Law School expenditures came from private giving. The Law School's current strength and national standing can be attributed directly to private support.
Private donations provide funding for faculty benefits and summer research support, financial aid, library needs, student publications, organizations, and activities, and other priorities as they develop.
Donations also funded the recent Law Grounds renovation and expansion project in its entirety, as well as other Law School priorities.
