Senior Director of Judicial Clerkships

Ruth Payne advises students and alumni as they navigate the application process for both judicial internships and judicial clerkships. This includes counseling, reviewing cover letters and resumes, conducting mock interviews and running workshops on the clerkship process. Bio | Contact


Patrice HaydenPatrice Hayden
Senior Director of Law Firm Recruiting

With eight years of large firm practice experience, Patrice Hayden assists students who are considering or applying for positions in law firms. She works with students in preparing resumes and cover letters, forming effective interviewing themes and preparing for interviews. She also helps students evaluate different practice areas and compare alternative jobs to firm practice. Patrice coordinates the involvement of the school and its students in job fairs across the country. Bio | Contact

Marit SpekmanMarit R. Spekman
Director of Career Services

Marit Spekman counsels students and alumni on a broad array of career choices with a focus on law firm positions. She works with students to evaluate practice areas, firms and legal markets, and helps students and alumni develop strategies to compete effectively for the positions they target. Marit assists students as they prepare resumes and cover letters, and works with them to prepare effectively for interviews. Bio | Contact

Director of Career Services

Lauren Ventre connects students and alumni with private-sector positions within their areas of interest and assists them in formulating application documents and strategies. She also works on a range of office initiatives, including developing online resources and programming for students, and assists with employer outreach and employer relations. Bio | Contact

Lauren ParkerLauren J. Parker
Director of Career Services

Lauren Parker works with students and alumni interested in applying to law firm positions. With nearly eight years of experience litigating at a large firm, she helps students identify firms and practice areas of interest, and assists their preparation of effective resumes, cover letters and interview strategies.  Lauren also counsels LL.M. students seeking temporary or permanent employment after graduation, and assists with employer outreach.

LynnLynn Stiteler
Student Career Specialist

Lynn Stiteler has over 14 years of experience in the Office of Career Services and is the main point of contact for all initial student inquiries. She works with students on arranging many of the logistics of their interviewing processes, connects students with counselors based on the nature of their inquiries, and fields and responds to inquiries from employers. Lynn also manages the school’s video and telephone interviewing rooms and plays a large role in the logistics of major office projects such as the On-Grounds Interviewing weeks, including the lead role in the Special Request process. MorrisSherry Morris
Assistant Director of Career Services Operations

Sherry Morris manages operational aspects of many of the Office’s major projects, including a central role in all of the school’s On-Grounds Interviewing weeks. She is a primary point of contact for firm and corporate employers and works closely with the firm outreach team. Sherry is also involved in much of the career-related reporting that is done by the school and manages the logistics associated with the Kennedy Fellowship Program. Sherry has over 10 years of experience in the Office of Career Services. Contact

van EerselMichel van Eersel
Clerkship coordinator

Michel van Eersel assists the director of judicial clerkships by maintaining the CARS database of judges with current hiring information through updates from OSCAR and communication with judges’ chambers. He also coordinates with students, alumni and faculty assistants as needed to mail out judicial clerkship applications and letters of recommendation. Contact
