History of the Class Gift

The Class of 1996 established the Graduation Gift Campaign to encourage support from the Law School’s newest alumni. Each year class managers work with class agents to solicit participation in the gift campaign from their classmates. Class gifts reinvigorate the commitment of our older alumni to annual giving.

To date, the Class of 2009 holds the record for highest participation in a class gift, with 93 percent of the class, 374 donors, having made a pledge before graduating.

A high level of participation is more important than the size of a class’ contributions. Class members who pledge before graduating remain loyal contributors to the Law School’s Annual Giving Campaign and beyond.
