Restaurants come and go. To get the latest on Charlottesville

website) or check out Charlottesville-Dining.com,
which offers surveys and rankings of local restaurants.

"No, it's not jeans we're talking about here.
It's Jarman's Gap, the newly opened eatery that's giving a little
friendly competition to what was formerly Crozet's sole culinary claim
to fame, Crozet Pizza.
The Gap's trio of owners, Matt Turner, Geoff Robinson, and Kim Cruser, boast
a Charlottesville restaurant pedigree; the three have put in time at Mono Loco,
Oxo, Continental Divide, Southern Culture, and C&O, to name just a few.
Turner, the Gap's executive chef, also spent several years pleasing palates
as the executive chef at Millie's Diner, a nationally acclaimed restaurant
in Richmond....
International, rustic and unpretentious' is how Turner describes it, giving
as an example half a duck cooked two ways: confit of leg and rare breast, with
zinfandel- and rosemary-glazed figs. Yum!"
