Downtown Galleries
There are a number of art galleries downtown, including Chroma Projects Art Laboratory (Downtown Mall, 202-0269), bozART (Downtown Mall, 296-3919), Higher Grounds (coffeehouse
on the Mall, 971-8743), Les Yeux du Monde (next to Starr
Hill, 973-5566), the McGuffey Art Center (north of the Mall on Second St., 295-7973),
and Mudhouse (coffeehouse
on the Mall, 984-6833). Charlottesville also recently
opened the City
Center for Contemporary Arts (293-7552), home to the LiveArts theater group (977-4177) and the Second Street Gallery (977-7284)
