Bauer '76 to Serve as White House Counsel
A Law School graduate will serve as the top legal adviser to President Barack Obama, the White House announced today.
Bob Bauer '76 will take over as White House counsel before the end of the year, according to the announcement.
Bauer is currently a partner at Perkins Coie, and was previously general counsel for Obama's presidential campaign.
“Bob has served as a trusted counselor for many years to many elected officials and is known as a tough and widely respected advocate,” Obama said in a prepared statement.
