Suggested Caterers

There are many wonderful caterers in Charlottesville. Below are some of the caterers who have been used in the past for events held at the Law School. Users assume responsibility for all of their caterer’s activities.

General Reception Budget

This first scenario is for a reception following a speaker or panel.

Estimated costs and needs for one-hour reception for 50 guests

Beverages $5.00/pp
Rentals $10-15/pp

Food (heavy hors d'oeuvres and pick-up items) $25.00/pp
Beverages (full bar) $12.00/pp
Rentals $5-$10/pp
Estimate $9,000

To reduce this cost you can use plastic cups and serve wine and beer only.
