An Option for Wait-listed Students
In the last few weeks, we've received many inquiries from wait-listed applicants wondering how to best signal their strong interest in pursuing a legal education at the University of Virginia School of Law. Some of these applicants, particularly those who cannot make the trip to Charlottesville for an on-grounds interview, have asked whether they can signal their commitment to Virginia through a binding agreement. As a result, we are now providing the option to sign an agreement to enroll at Virginia Law and withdraw all applications to other law schools upon an offer of admission off the waiting list. The binding option is available to applicants on both the priority and general waiting lists.
Submitting a signed agreement is not a prerequisite to being admitted to the Law School from the waiting list. It is one option for an applicant wishing to signal their strong desire to attend Virginia Law. Decisions about financial aid or scholarships are not affected by submitting an agreement. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
