Jeff Legro is an associate professor in the Woodrow Wilson Department of Politics. A specialist on international relations, Legro has served as a consultant to foundations, think tanks, publishers, and government agencies. He is the author of Cooperation Under Fire: Anglo-German Restraint During World War II (Cornell, 1995), a contributor to Peter Katzenstein, ed., The Culture of National Security (Columbia, 1996), and has published articles in such journals as Foreign Policy, American Political Science Review, International Organization, International Security, American Journal of Political Science, Survival, and Parameters. In 2002-03 Legro was a Fulbright professor at China Foreign Affairs University in Beijing. He has been awarded fellowships or grants from the Council on Foreign Relations, U.S. Institute of Peace, Ford Foundation, Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation, Institute for the Study of World Politics, and Harvard University’s Olin Institute and Center for Science and International Affairs. He received his B.A. from Middlebury College and has an M.A. and Ph.D. from UCLA.
