Mark C. Christie


Mark Christie is a member of the State Corporation Commission of Virginia, which regulates the public utility, insurance and financial industries in Virginia.

He has taught at the University of Virginia School of Law for the past four years, has taught constitutional law and government in a doctoral program at Virginia Commonwealth University since 2000 and has lectured on regulatory law at Duke. He also has taught at the Universities of Lucerne, Switzerland and Trento, Italy through the Fulbright program, and at the Florence School of Regulation, European University Institute.

Christie received undergraduate degrees from Wake Forest University in history and English. He received his law degree from Georgetown.
