Geeyoung received her B.A. in anthropology and B.L. from Seoul National University, where she was awarded numerous scholarships. She also received an LL.M. from Yale Law School and was a visiting scholar there. While at Yale, she was a recipient of Lillian Goldman Scholarship and John M. Olin Summer Fellowship. In the summer of 2005, she worked as an associate at Kim & Chang, the largest law firm in South Korea. She is currently pursuing a J.S.D. at Yale Law School. Her doctorate dissertation focuses on the issues of corporate law and corporate governance, including how charters of large, publicly-traded companies in the U.S. are determined and evolve, and cross-national comparison of corporate governance regimes.
