Conover is works in the Civil Law program, focusing primarily on housing law. He has been the clinic supervisor of Virginia Law's Housing Law Clinic since 2003.

John Conover is a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Justice Center. After graduating from law school in 1978, he owned and operated a commercial printing business in Charlottesville. He worked as a pro bono volunteer at legal aid until 2000, when he sold his business and joined the Legal Aid Justice Center full time.
