Rob C. Masri

Rob Masri '96 teaches the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and co-teaches the January Term short course Legal Practice and the Startup Company: An Inside Look. Masri maintains a solo law practice in Charlottesville advising early stage startups on a wide range of legal and financing issues. He is the founder and CEO of Cardagin Networks Inc., a mobile relationship management company that powers loyalty and rewards programs for retailers worldwide.

Masri is currently working to launch Moonlighting, a mobile marketplace designed to unlock local talent and connect people to peer-to-peer local services.

Masri previously worked for the Law School Foundation, where he served as chief development officer. Prior to joining the Foundation, Rob was executive vice president of corporate development and general counsel of Multicity Inc., a global provider of online communication solutions in up to 17 different languages.

Before joining Multicity, Masri was an associate in the business department of Cooley Godward LLP and the corporate and securities department of Hunton & Williams LLP. His practice at Cooley and Hunton focused on venture capital, public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions and the representation of technology and emerging growth companies.

Masri received a J.D. from the Law School in 1996 and served as an adjunct professor in 1999 and 2000 for a course on emerging growth companies and venture capital.
