Katherine Twomey, who co-teaches the fall short course Supreme Court Decisionmaking, is an associate in the Supreme Court and Appellate practice at Latham & Watkins in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Latham, Twomey served as a law clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia of the Supreme Court of the United States and to Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Twomey earned her undergraduate degree, with distinction in economics, from Yale University. She received her law degree from Virginia, where she served as the articles development editor of the Virginia Law Review and received the Margaret G. Hyde Award, the Law School Alumni Association Best Note Award and the Z Society Shannon Award.
