 
| Douglas L. Leslie Charles O. Gregory Professor of Law J.D., University of Michigan Law School, 1968 B.A., University of Iowa, 1964 Douglas Leslie teaches employment and labor law, property, contracts, sports law, and health law. He is the author of several books and articles in these fields. Leslie served as the director of the John M. Olin Program in Law and Economics from 1987-1995. Before his appointment to the Virginia law faculty in 1978, Leslie practiced law at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey in Cleveland, served as an appellate branch attorney in the Office of the General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, practiced labor law with O'Donoghue & O'Donoghue in Washington, D.C., and taught at Arizona State University Law School. He has been a visiting professor at the law schools of the University of Michigan and Stanford, where, as a Guggenheim fellow, he conducted research on the application of economic theory to labor law. Leslie served as editor-in-chief of the "Railway Labor Act Treatise" for the American Bar Association's labor and employment law section. He also served as secretary of that section in 1987-88.
