Neil Duxbury is professor of English law at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is the author of Patterns of American Jurisprudence (Oxford UP, 1995), Random Justice (Oxford UP, 1999), Jurists and Judges (Hart, 2001), Frederick Pollock and the English Juristic Tradition (Oxford UP, 2004), The Nature and Authority of Precedent (Cambridge UP, 2008) and Elements of Legislation (Cambridge UP, 2013). He was elected as a Fellow of the British Academy in 2010.
