Course Description:

Seminars in Ethical Values are designed to enhance students' understanding of ethical issues and address the broader ethical and moral responsibilities of the lawyer as citizen and leader. The seminars are graded on a pass/fail basis; students earn one credit in the spring semester upon successful completion of the seminar.

We will study the ethical challenges of leaders by reading six of Shakespeare's histories. The most likely plays will be: King John; Richard II; Henry IV, part 1; Henry IV part 2; Henry V; and Richard III. The specific dates will be chosen once the class roster is finalized. Pizza dinner will be included. Attendance at all sessions is required. If you miss one session, you will be required to submit a short (3-5 page) paper discussing the play for that session, or meet privately with Professor Cohen.

NOTE: We will meet on Sundays from 5-7 at Professor Cohen's home.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Attendance at all class sessions is required
