Course Description:

This course meets January 20-March 26.

New attorneys spend most of their time researching the law. We will use hands-on classroom exercises and homework assignments to develop efficient, thorough research skills. We will learn and practice advanced search techniques for WestlawNext, Lexis, BloombergLaw, and free sources. We will apply these skills and techniques in subject areas frequently encountered in legal practice, including case law, statutes, legislative history, administrative law, court procedure, and factual research.

PREREQUISITE: Legal Research and Writing
COURSE REQUIREMENT: Written assignments, group activities, and class participation.
