Course Description:

This course meets January 21-March 27.

In their first few years of practice, new attorneys spend the bulk of their time conducting legal research. Through a combination of lecture, practice exercises, and group activities, this class will cover strategies and sources for efficiently researching primary and secondary sources both online and in print. We will learn and apply research skills to subject areas frequently encountered in legal practice, including case law and statutes, legislative history, administrative law, court procedure, and factual research.

PREREQUISITE: Legal Research and Writing
COURSE REQUIREMENT: Weekly research assignments
