Course Description:

This course will examine the regulation of international finance. It will cover topics such as: cross-border aspects of U.S. banking and securities regulation; financial regulation in the European Union; financial market development in China; coordinated regulation and resolution of global financial firms; cross-border financial derivatives; and monetary issues, including global imbalances, sovereign debt, and the Euro crisis. There is no formal prerequisite, but prior exposure to corporate, securities or banking law is recommended.
