Course Description:

This is an introductory course providing an overview of the law relating to intellectual property, primarily trade secrets, patents, copyrights, industrial designs, and trademarks. Coverage will include subject matter limitations, key requirements for protection and enforcement, and policy issues associated with these expanding areas. This course is designed both for those who are interested in pursuing IP as a career, and those who are looking only for a basic overview of the subject.

NOTE: Laptops are not allowed during class sessions.
