Course Description:

Seminars in Ethical Values are designed to enhance students' understanding of ethical issues and address the broader ethical and moral responsibilities of the lawyer as citizen and leader. The seminars are graded on a pass/fail basis; students earn one credit in the spring semester upon successful completion of the seminar.

This seminar will explore different ways that individuals respond to adverse circumstances. Tentative readings: The Book of Job; Dostoyesvky, Notes from Underground; Hansberry, A Raisin in the Sun; Ibsen, A Doll’s House; Bolt, A Man for All Seasons; Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice.

All meetings will be on Sundays from 5-7 at Professor Cohen’s house.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Attendance at all class sessions is expected
