Course Description:
This seminar will cover issues in the intersection of law and finance such as corporate law and firm value, executive compensation and hedge funds’ activism. We will read papers by legal and finance scholars. Thus, tolerance to economics-empirical methods especially-is highly recommended. There will be no exam or paper requirement. Instead, students will be asked to submit brief memos on the assigned readings.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Attendance at the first class meeting is mandatory; students who do not attend will be dropped.
