Course Description:
The seminar reviews historic preservation law and policy at the federal, state, and local level. Also included are some of the areas that overlap with traditional preservation law, including the protection of archeological sites and resources, shipwrecks and other underwater materials of cultural significance, and issues pertaining to the preservation of Native American religious and cultural sites. The course includes guest lecturers, and a substantial research paper is required.
