Course Description:

This is a survey of individual rights under the Constitution, excluding equal protection and criminal procedure. I tweak the assignments each year in response to new developments in the Supreme Court, but we generally spend about five weeks on freedom of speech, three weeks on religious liberty, two weeks on sexual and family choices and claims to a right to die, two weeks on economic liberties, and a day or two each on procedural due process, the right to bear arms, and privileges and immunities.
