Course Description:

This seminar will examine law's rapidly changing role in regulating, protecting, and constructing sexuality. Our texts include canonical cases and current legal doctrine, as well as a variety of interdisciplinary materials concerning the specific legal questions and broader conceptual issues regarding sex, gender, sexual orientation, and identity.

NOTE: Laptops are not allowed during class sessions.

COURSE REQUIREMENT: A substantial research paper, two short response papers, and active class participation
