Anne Richard joined the Law School in 2011. Immediately prior to coming to Virginia, she was associate dean for admissions and financial aid at The George Washington University Law School. From 1997 until 2006, she served as associate dean for admissions at the George Mason University School of Law. Richard practiced law from 1984 until 1997, working as a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as a partner and associate in private practice in Northern Virginia. She received her law degree from Yale Law School and both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boston College.
