David Eisenberg is a partner based in the London office of White & Case, where he specializes in regulatory and transactional work, especially with regard to the communications and media industries. He is also an expert on Islamic law and practices in the area of Islamic finance. His experience in this area includes advising Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) in relation to its $2.875 billion Islamic financing for the expansion of its network in Saudi Arabia, the largest-ever syndicated Islamic loan. He is co-editor and principal contributor to a treatise entitled Islamic Finance: Law and Practice, which was recently published by Oxford University Press. During the fall semester he will teach the short course Islamic Law at the Law School. He received the Margaret G. Hyde award upon graduation from the Law School.
