Richard Dean is a partner with Baker & McKenzie LLP in Washington, D.C. His practice focuses on emerging markets, including advising on commercial transactions and conducting internal investigations for multinational companies relating to potential violations of law, particularly anti-corruption and money laundering laws, arising from their activities in emerging markets.
While at the University of Virginia School of Law, Dean was senior editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law, a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Order of the Coif. He is a former Alcoa Foundation lecturer and partner.
