Ben Sachs is an expert in verbal and nonverbal communication and the managing editor of Lose The Pointer, an online resource of strategic communication tools for business and legal professionals. His professional career spans law and business, first serving as a litigator at Sidley Austin and then as a strategic management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. His clients have included businesses in the United States and Australia in industries ranging from telecommunications to retail, where he has specialized in retail negotiations and management strategy. Sachs earned his B.A. as a Jefferson Scholar at the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif. After law school, he served as a law clerk for Judge. T.S. Ellis III, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division. Sachs is a former mock trial national champion and mock trial coach, winning the W.W. Reynoldson Award for outstanding coaching in 2008.
