Ben Sachs

Ben Sachs is an expert in verbal and nonverbal communication and president of The Landing Group, a professional services company providing strategic communication tools, resources, and coaching for business and legal professionals. Sachs’s clients have included government and private sector organizations in the United States and Australia in industries ranging from telecommunications to retail, where he has specialized in retail negotiations and management strategy.

Sachs' professional career spans law and business, first serving as a litigator at Sidley Austin LLP and then as a strategic management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group before moving to VideoBlocks, a stock media distribution startup named fourth-fastest-growing media company by Inc. magazine. At VideoBlocks, Sachs now serves as general counsel and vice president of customer insights and operations, helping VideoBlocks identify and execute strategies for customer retention, marketplace growth and operational efficiency.

Sachs earned his B.A. as an Echols Scholar and Jefferson Scholar at the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif and a member of the Virginia Law Review. After law school, he served as a law clerk for Judge. T.S. Ellis, III, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division. Sachs is a former mock trial national champion and mock trial coach, winning the W.W. Reynoldson Award for outstanding coaching in 2008. He currently lives in Washington, D.C.
