Donald D. Long

Don Long co-teaches the Transactional Law Clinic. He is an attorney with Lenhart Pettit in Charlottesville, having been a managing member of Lenhart Pettit's predecessor firm Feil, Pettit & Williams, where he worked since 2007. He concentrates his practice in business and commercial transactions and commercial real estate. He has experience in the legal issues involved with the organization, operation and sale of businesses as well as with various intellectual property transactions, including licensing and trademarks. His commercial real estate experience includes real estate development and commercial lending. Long has represented both borrowers and lenders in complex commercial lending transactions. He has experience and training regarding Small Business Administration lending transactions.

Long joined Feil, Pettit & Williams in 2001 after serving as general counsel for Experient Technologies, a software company. He was an attorney with Woods, Rogers & Hazlegrove for four years before joining Experient. Prior to law school, Long served on the staff of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
