Edwin Martin, Jr.

Ned Martin has practiced in the area of domestic and international business transactions and securities offerings for more than 40 years, particularly with technology and rapid-growth companies. He was a partner at three firms: Hale Dorr, where he began his career; Pepper, Hamilton and Scheetz; and DLA Piper. He has served as counsel to a wide range of companies, from New York Stock Exchange-listed businesses to startups in a number of industries. He has served as issuer’s counsel or underwriter’s counsel on more than 40 public offerings and has served as a principal outside counsel for more than 20 companies listed on U.S. exchanges. He has also worked on more than 150 merger or acquisition transactions. In addition, he has led a number of corporate partnering and joint-venture transactions, both within the U.S. and across borders, in a number of industries, including telecommunications, biotechnology, software and electronics.

He has also been a lecturer for the Practicing Law Institute and other organizations on a variety of topics, including tax law, securities law, corporate partnering transactions and partnership law.

Martin graduated
magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
