    Michelle Morris joined the Law Library research staff as a reference librarian in 2005. In that capacity she provides research assistance and support to faculty and students, including work on in-depth research projects. Michelle also teaches Advanced Legal Research and works with student research assistants through summer seminars and research strategy sessions.

    Morris received her B.A. magna cum laude in 1992 from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, subsequently working for court reporting firms in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., and as a legal assistant with the Washington, D.C., firm of Wilkes, Artis, Hedrick and Lane, Chartered. She received her law degree from the Law School in 2001, where she was executive editor of the Virginia Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. After clerking for the Hon. Robert B. King of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, she joined the Washington, D.C., office of Hogan & Hartson, working on both trial and appellate litigation matters. She is a member of the bars of West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
