Daniel S. Epps

Daniel Epps, who co-teaches the fall short course Supreme Court Decisionmaking, is a member of the national appellate litigation practice group at King & Spalding in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Epps served as a law clerk to Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the Supreme Court of the United States and to Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  Epps earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude with highest distinction in philosophy, from Duke University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he served as the articles co-chair of the Harvard Law Review and won the John M. Olin Law & Economics Prize.
