| Polly Lawson Assistant Dean for Career Services Polly Lawson is the assistant dean for career services, advising students on all aspects of the private-sector job search process and a wide range of career-planning issues. She also serves as a liaison to legal employers, advising employers about recruitment strategies and developing and maintaining relationships with private-sector legal employers. Lawson represents the Law School in the National Association for Law Placement (NALP). Lawson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995 from the University of Virginia. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal for a mid-size law firm in Charleston, West Virginia, and then for Cox Communications and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce in Atlanta. In 2001, she received her J.D. from the Law School. She practiced in the Washington, D.C., office of Alston & Bird before returning to Charlottesville to work in Career Services. She is a member of the Georgia Bar and District of Columbia Bar. | |
