Reciprocity Policy

The University of Virginia School of Law Career Services Office provides reciprocity to students and graduates in good standing of other ABA accredited law schools, provided that:

The Career Services Office reserves the right to deny reciprocity to individuals who misuse its facilities. According to an agreement among the six state law schools, reciprocity will not be granted to individuals who have already been granted reciprocity by George Mason University Law School, T. C. Williams School of Law, Washington & Lee University Law School, Marshall Wythe School of Law of the College of William & Mary, or Regent University College of Law and Government. The Career Services Office reserves the right to limit the scope of services provided to conform to the policy of the requesting school.

Persons granted reciprocity are allowed access to all materials in our Career Services library and may confer with a counselor of our designation, but may not participate in on-campus interviews. Information from our online system regarding local jobs will be provided to the student, but broad access to the online system will not be provided.

No reciprocity will be granted during the fall recruitment period, August 1 to December 1.
