Reciprocity Policy
The University of Virginia School of Law Career Services Office provides reciprocity to students and graduates in good standing of other ABA accredited law schools, provided that:
- 1. the law school making the request for reciprocity has a policy providing similar assistance to Virginia students or graduates;
2. requests are made in writing to the Career Services Office in advance of the student or graduate's visit to the Law School;
3. persons granted reciprocity are allowed access to all materials in the Career Services Library, but may not participate in on-campus interviews;
4. the Career Services Office reserves the right to deny reciprocity to individuals who misuse its facilities; and,
5. according to an agreement among the six state law schools, reciprocity will not be granted to individuals who have already been granted reciprocity by George Mason University Law School, T. C. Williams School of Law, Washington & Lee University Law School, Marshall-Wythe School of Law of the College of William & Mary, or Regent University College of Law and Government.
No reciprocity will be granted during the fall recruitment period, August 1 through December 1.
