Greetings from NY: A Postcard from Abroad

Posted August 1, 2006

I’m working as a legal intern for the New York Stock Exchange Regulation’s Division of Enforcement, the prosecutorial arm of the NYSE that is comprised of over 100 lawyers. During the summer, I assisted Enforcement lawyers in disciplinary actions against NYSE member firms for violations of NYSE rules and federal securities laws. I was selected from among the NYSE Summer Interns to participate in the closing bell ceremony, which is broadcast after each trading day to approximately 120 million people worldwide.
