Information Sheet/Reference Guide - updated December 10, 2024

The University of Virginia School of Law participates in exchange programs with the following partner schools:

  • Bocconi Law
  • Bucerius Law School
  • Hebrew University School of Law
  • Instituto de Impresa
  • Jindal Global Law
  • Melbourne Law School
  • Paris-Panthéon-Assas University (apply through LSAC if full-year nominee)
  • Seoul National University
  • Tel Aviv University Law School
  • University of Auckland
  • University of Sydney
  • Waseda University (apply through LSAC if full-year nominee)

Students participate in exchange during the fall term at Virginia Law (except for students from Waseda and Paris-Panthéon-Assas, which participate in a yearlong exchange program).  Most nominations are due April 1 and applications are due by April 30, except for Waseda and Paris-Pantheon-Assas students applying for the full-year LLM Program who must be nominated by Jan. 1 so that a decision can be returned in time for the nominee to meet the LLM Program's Feb. 1st application deadline.  Once a student is nominated by their home institution, they will be directed to the appropriate application steps. Students should not apply if they have not been formally nominated.
