Class of 2026 Profile

Pablo Gomez

Richmond native PABLO E. GÓMEZ earned a bachelor’s degree in history and literature from Harvard University. He was a legal assistant at the Sacred Heart Center’s Immigration Legal Services Program and inaugural executive director of the General Assembly’s Virginia Latino Caucus before law school.

“UVA Law’s excellent faculty, proximity to my hometown and D.C., and strength in equipping its graduates with the tools needed to succeed in the legal field all were important factors in my decision to attend,” Gómez said. “I am particularly interested in exploring the school’s international law opportunities and other offerings where my multiculturalism and multilingualism may be useful.”

Jennifer Song

JENNIFER SONG, who was raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, earned a bachelor’s degree in international development studies and political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Song said that witnessing war in her home country since she was young inspired her to become an international lawyer.

“I believe a situation like this really underscores the importance of a supportive academic environment for me, and UVA’s reputation as an inclusive and supportive community is unparalleled,” she said. “Paired with UVA Law’s reputation as a top school in international law, I think it was a clear match for my law school aspirations.”
