Dog Registration
Dogs four months or older must be registered with the City of Charlottesville or Albemarle County, depending upon your place of residence. Once your dog is registered, it will receive a tag to wear on its collar.

Once in the park, follow signs to off-leash area.

Getting there: From 29th South (Emmet Street), veer right onto Jefferson Park Avenue (JPA). Follow JPA for several blocks and take a left at Jefferson Park Avenue Extended. After several blocks, take a right onto Old Lynchburg Road. The park is located on the left immediately past the sharp turn on Old Lynchburg Road.

Getting there: Take Route 29 North towards Earlysville. Turn left onto Route 649 (Airport Road). Turn right onto Route 606. Turn left onto Route 850 (Chris Greene Lake Road).
Located near the airport. There is a one-acre fenced in area for dogs to run off-leash, with a roped water access area where dogs can swim.
