Course Description

This short course will help prepare students for cybersecurity and privacy practice. We will focus on the foundations of cybersecurity law and policy and applications to national security; compliance with emerging state privacy laws and cybersecurity mandates at the state and federal level; and intimate privacy violations and the available remedies. Guest speakers will share their experiences practicing in these fields and we will perform a simulated data breach exercise. Students should be prepared to discuss the assigned materials in class.
