Course Description

These days it’s easy to find information, but it’s not so easy to know that you’re finding the right information and not missing anything. The goal of this course is to develop more effective and focused research skills that will give you confidence that you have the information you need. In classroom exercises and homework assignments, we will learn advanced techniques for using familiar resources such as Lexis and Westlaw, and explore more specialized free and subscription resources in subject areas frequently encountered in legal practice, including case law, statutes, legislative history, administrative law, court procedure, and factual research.
