Course Description

This is the first semester of a yearlong seminar designed to enhance students' understanding of ethical issues and address the broader ethical and moral responsibilities of the lawyer as citizen and leader. This section will examine these issues and responsibilities through the lens of Christian theology. The seminar will focus on—but not be limited to—ethics in matters of property, taxation, and distributive justice. Our discussion of these themes will be informed by books, articles, videos and other media and students will be exposed to materials from cross-disciplinary and theological perspectives.
