Course Description
This course will focus on the legal topics required to successfully negotiate and document a public private partnership for a real estate transaction. The class will be taught using case studies and creative problem solving.

Written Work Product
Written Work Product: Students will work in teams of four to negotiate and draft a comprehensive development agreement for a public private partnership. Additionally, each student will be required to draft two research memoranda on two of the legal topics covered during the course of the semester.
Other Work
Students will prepare a PowerPoint presentation on one of the research topics and present same to the class.

Prerequisites: Because the credits in this course count toward the JD Program Professional Skills requirement, JD candidates will be given enrollment priority for this class. Concurrencies: None

Course Notes: Each student will be evaluated based on class participation, the research memoranda and the PowerPoint presentation; a group grade will be assigned for the comprehensive development agreement project.
