Course Description
This course will provide students with a unique perspective into the many aspects of a start-up business - from creation and capitalization to IP protection and skills needed for day-to-day operations. Students will engage and explore business planning, entity choice, governance, financing, and exit opportunities. The course will follow the creation, development and growth of Cardagin Networks, Inc., a Charlottesville-based mobile loyalty company that has been branded a market leader by Inc. Magazine, CNET, Financial Times, Street Fight, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal. The course will be co-taught by the Founder and CEO of Cardagin and UVA Law Alum, Rob C. Masri '96.
