Let’s Talk Money: Financing Your Public Service Career

Did you come to law school to work in public service, but you’re worried about how to make it work financially? This event will demonstrate how it is more than feasible to pursue your public service career goals. We will go over the various financial tools and resources available to you, including income-based repayment, the Virginia Loan Forgiveness Program (the Law School’s loan repayment assistance program), and the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness program administered by the U.S. Department of Education. We’ll also discuss the salary trends we’re seeing in the public service legal industry. Finally, we’ll talk about financial projections to expect at graduation and several years out from law school. Food will be provided with RSVP.
